In the spring of 2007, we planted something special on a lush, terraced hillside. It's a touch of France, a hint of Ireland and a generous helping of American history. And it's already something quite extraordinary.
The White Oak estate vineyard expects its first harvest in 2010. From now until then, our goal is to nurture our young vines with sustainable farming techniques and encourage growth with low input. It's our hope to produce some of the best wine grapes in the Southeast that are expressive of both the varietal and the unique land in which they're grown. We encourage residents to visit often, to discover the joy in cultivating something as a community - and to one day, raise a glass together.
